Hello, I’m Joanna…
…The seven’s year gift.
I am the last child to my parents. Born on August 19, 2015 at the Bethesda Hospital of the Full Gospel Mission in Yaoundé, I am also their seven years of marriage gift.
My first name Joanna whose Hebrew and Greek transcriptions are: [jṓ-an’a (Ἰωάνα, Iōána, or Ἰωάννα, Iōánna)] and which means “Grace or gift of God; Whom Jehovah has graciously given.”
In the Bible, Joanna is the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza. She was one of the women who ministered to our Lord, and to whom he appeared after his resurrection (Luke 8v3).
Joanna was one of the “women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities”. Along with other women she accompanied Jesus on His last journey from Galilee to Jerusalem, and was present when His body was laid in the sepulcher (Luke 23v55). She was thus among those who prepared spices and ointments, who found the grave empty, and who “told these things unto the apostles” (Luke 23v56 through 24v10)
